Job Title: Automation Mechanical Technician

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Inspect automated machinery, equipment, and systems to identify issues and ensure functionality.
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on various types of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work around production activities.
- Ensure quality standards are always met.
- Assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of automated systems according to specifications.
- Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
- Conduct routine maintenance and quality checks on automated systems to uphold standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedures.
- Assist in planning and scheduling repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), safety standards and policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Basic understanding of automation systems including but not limited to process control, instrumentation, and servo driven ladder logic.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational/Trade training or A.S in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Comfortable working in environments with exposure to noise, dust, and other industrial elements.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime as needed.
