Job Summary:
The Sterile Sanitation Technician is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our cannabis production facility. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with state regulations by properly managing sanitation protocols, cleaning equipment, and overseeing the maintenance of work areas. The technician will operate washers and ultrasonic machines, manage alcohol and ISO supplies, and keep accurate cleaning logs. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess production areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness, verifying all tools and trays are properly sanitized.

• Collect and transport dirty tools and trays from production areas to the washroom for cleaning.

• Clean tools using washers and ultrasonic machines, ensuring proper sanitation before redistributing them.

• Stock and rotate clean towels at all workstations, replacing drying rack towels weekly.

• Refill and distribute ISO bottles across multiple production areas, including Washroom, Kief Room, Case Packaging, Juice Room, and various regional sites.

• Maintain the sink area, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for daily use.

• Inspect washers and ultrasonic machines for cleanliness and functionality, following drainage schedules.

• Facilitate end-of-day cleaning by collecting and sanitizing tools, preparing water for cleaning, and ensuring all Sauce residue is removed from machines and mats.

• Maintain accurate and timely cleaning logs to ensure compliance with sanitation protocols and state regulations.

• Perform alcohol refill runs and distribute supplies as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Understanding of sanitation protocols and state compliance requirements.

• Experience operating industrial washing machines and ultrasonic cleaning equipment.

• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

• Strong communication skills to coordinate with multiple departments.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Prior experience in sanitation, janitorial services, or production cleaning preferred.

• Familiarity with cannabis production facilities and regulatory compliance is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and handle repetitive tasks.

• Must be able to work in a production environment with varied conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals.

• Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
