Job Summary:

The Case Packaging Lead is responsible for overseeing the efficient packaging of cannabis products for fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and quality control throughout the packaging process. This role is key in managing case packaging operations, tracking inventory, and ensuring that all materials and finished products are properly labeled and prepared for distribution. The Case Packaging Lead collaborates with the fulfillment and inventory teams to maintain smooth operations and timely product delivery, while also ensuring compliance with state regulations and internal standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Track and report on case packaging data and team performance.
  • Ensure the case packaging team is working efficiently and meeting daily production goals.
  • Manage and monitor inventory of packaging materials, ensuring availability for the team.
  • Audit and verify the accuracy of finished product packaging and labeling.
  • Create and print package labels in compliance with regulations.
  • Track and maintain accurate records for non-cannabis goods inventory used in packaging.
  • Handle system tasks such as transfer orders using Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Track and report on packaging waste and rejected items.
  • Count and log rejected products to ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Collaborate with the fulfillment team to ensure packaged products are ready for distribution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education and Experience:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age per state law.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience required.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Production Lead or Inventory Lead preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics.
  • 1 year of packaging experience preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in the cannabis industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of inventory counts and reporting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be physically capable of standing for long periods or entire shifts.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must have full use of arms and fingers for fine manipulation of cannabis, making boxes, and applying compliance stickers.
  • Must be capable of repetitive motion using hands and arms.

Work Schedule (Non-Exempt):

This position is scheduled on a full-time basis. Specific shift times and workdays are determined by the operation and may vary by location. Business needs may require work on evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional overtime. Scheduled start and end times, assigned shifts, and workdays are subject to change based on staffing and operational requirements. Whenever feasible, advance notice of schedule changes will be provided.
